Dr. Andra Brosh believes that your psyche and body are deeply connected, and that you deserve to be supported, educated and empowered in your wellbeing.

Dr. Brosh is a licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY22901), a board certified Holistic Nutritionist (BCHN), a certified Ecotherapist, and a specialist in The Grief Recovery Method®. Her work is deeply influenced by philosophy, neuroscience, ancient Buddhist teachings and research based constructs such as compassion, gratitude, happiness and mindfulness.

Her pre-doctoral training at the Maple Counseling Center was in mindful parenting, mother-infant relational therapy, and child therapy. She went on to do her post-doctoral training at the Wright Institute in Los Angeles, which steeped her in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and the inner-workings of the human mind.

Dr. Brosh's dissertation entitled The Maternal Mind: a psychological study of new motherhood led to a certification in postpartum depression through Postpartum Support International, and the creation of her business Mothering Minds, a resource for expectant and new mothers seeking support and education. She also developed a divorce recovery program called Divorce Detox, which was featured in the New York Times.

Dr. Brosh received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California Graduate Institute, and her degree in Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts from Bauman College for which she is board certified by the National Association of Nutrition Professionals.

In her work Dr. Brosh takes a holistic approach by considering each person as a whole being. Her theoretical approach is rooted in the belief that we are all physically and psychologically shaped by our genetics, relationships, environment, dietary habits and lifestyle.

Psyche & Salt is the manifestation of Dr. Brosh's extensive experience and training, her belief in the healing power of food, and her passion for supporting women in both mind and body.
